Hexagon to exhibit software solutions
The Alphacam, Cabinet Vision and Workplan solutions, by the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Production Software business, will be exhibited July 17-20 at the AWFS Fair.
Visitors to the show can learn more about the Alphacam solution for wood, stone, and metal; the Cabinet Cision design-to-manufacturing solution, and the Workplan process-planning system at booth No. 4413, where the latest new features and product enhancements will be demonstrated, according to the company.
“A significant upgrade available with Alphacam 2020.0 are improvements to the solution’s post-processor engine, delivering cutting-edge technology that supports enhanced simulation capabilities, as well as expanded support for both hardware and specialized toolpath,” the company explained.
“The Alphacam automation suite has also been enhanced, improving both user experience and efficiency when creating and deploying job configurations. From first automation jobs to streamlining processes in complex and production environments, the solution’s new setup wizards are designed to make short work of daily production tasks.
“The latest version of the Cabinet Vision solution for woodworkers delivers significant enhancements to construction functionality, including a flexible new method for defining the machining necessary to connect parts. Cabinet Vision Version 12 also introduces a new direct connection to the Leica 3D Disto laser measuring system to provide even more accuracy when collecting field-dimension data.
“At the click of a button, NC toolpath can be quickly and easily applied to designs, which enables users to transition quickly and efficiently from Screen-to-Machine. As a comprehensive design-to-production solution, Cabinet Vision allows users to create shop drawings, generate cut and material lists, formulate bids, apply production standards, maximize material yield and more within a single convenient interface.
“The latest version of Workplan is geared toward optimizing logistical flow by enabling users to model their workshops and localize inventory during the manufacturing process. In addition to tracking project status and making it easy to determine remaining job tasks, the system manages purchasing needs and enables users to track man-hours devoted to specified job duties. Tracking employee tasks over time leads to greater accuracy in job costing, which results in reduced stress in the shop and improved customer satisfaction.
“Direct links to other Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Production Software applications, such as Cabinet Vision, simplify the process of going from design-to-production by combining vital data across platforms. This makes it easier than ever for users to efficiently plan multiple projects. “
