Colonial Saw to demonstrate CNC profile grinder

Colonial Saw will be demonstrating the UTMA P20-CNC Profile Knife Grinder for HSS molder knives, carbide inserts, CNC router bits, and brazed cutters from CAD drawings, thereby eliminating the need for templates and a skilled operator.

The “UTMA Model P20-CNC automatically rough grinds from blank knife to finished knife, including automatic indexing,” the AWFS exhibitor said in a statement.

“The heavy-duty machine has a 15-hp grinding motor, weighs 8,000 pounds and is fully enclosed allowing maximum flood-cooling which speeds up the grinding process and significantly improves the shop environment.  It has a Windows Controller with four CNC controlled axes, accepts DXF CAD drawings and employs an operator-friendly CAD/CAM menu, thereby enabling simple, fast teach-in tool positioning and easy programming.”
